When the cool breeze in May whirls into the humid winds of June, summer has arrived. After years of internal debate, in order to know myself best, and form a solid opinion on…something…anything, I decided, Summer was my favorite season. I mean besides Winter. And Spring is the best time of year, and fall is just a ton of fun. Summer still reigns supreme in my ever changing opinion of the seasons. I was born in the summer, lobster, watermelon, and berries are best in the summer. The weather is the most consistent and the world buzzes in hope of fun, memories, and a summer worth remembering. No matter how old we all get, Summer is the time in life where things slow down a bit and travel, food, gathering, and enjoying nature is prioritzed just a bit above the rest. We live for summer, even if it’s just to complain about it not living up to everything we hoped it would be since January.
In the interior space, summer is such a place of inspiration for me. For as long as I can remember, both in fashion and in food, summer made me feel most myself. Lots of red, white, and denim. Lobster illustrations on my Forever 21 t-shirt. There’s something all Amer*ican about summer time that the new england girl in me lives for. In my travels around the shore and the coast, and also in my home town Nautical vibes are a coustom. From anchors, to fishermans rope, to lighthouses, and perfectly manicured yards with seashells in the driveway, the light and airy feel of summer time was year round.
un.eg&o pulls heavily from summer time inspiration. From colors, to patterns, to the overall feel. Stay on the look out for all the seasonal items that make their way to the shop.
